I recently listened to Altus Growth Partners‘ Podcast, Missing Conversations Episode #12 with Lisa Simms Booth. https://lnkd.in/g5yK5fsg
She brings up what is such a critical point around the presence of scarcity in non-profit organizations. (The whole interview is excellent and worth listening to).
A scarcity mindset is rooted in a belief that resources, opportunities, and support are limited, leading organizations and people to operate from a place of fear, competition, and a constant struggle to secure what they need. On the other hand, the abundance mindset focuses on the idea that there are enough resources available for everyone, and collaboration and creativity can lead to new opportunities and solutions.
One of the values we hold at Altus Growth Partners is Abundance, and this has invited me to do a lot of work in this area, which has been a personal challenge as a non-employee coach and consultant; financial resources can feel scarce or at least very unpredictable. This work has been a transformative and rewarding journey.
How do you approach financial resources? Is your mindset scarcity-centered or abundant or something in-between? What is the impact of your orientation on your life and leadership?
